What did our customers think of the recent Transport & Logistics trade fair?

Op 13, 14 en 15 september was Van Damme aanwezig op de vakbeurs Transport & Logistics in Flanders Expo (Gent). Als leverancier van industriële reinigingsoplossingen mochten we hier niet ontbreken, want deze beurs is dé ontmoetingsplaats voor elke professional die actief is in supply chain.

In terms of attendance, this first edition in Ghent was a success: according to the organizers, more than 7,500 visitors attended the three days of the fair. There were also many exhibitors, with a total of 250 companies present.

We asked three customers for their opinion about the event and their current collaboration with Van Damme.

Remo-Frit

As a growing family business, Remo-Frit is one of the market leaders in potato processing. The Verrebroek-based company supplies fresh fries and potato products in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France.

“The collaboration between Van Damme and Remo-Frit is going very well,” says Martin. "We use their high pressure machines for cleaning our production lines and scrubbing machines for our production floors. Because Van Damme is also a family business, they always manage to respond quickly to deliveries of new machines and associated maintenance. Their team is always easily reachable by phone, and we can always count on them for quick interventions.”

“As a food producer, we went to the trade fair to discover the latest news in the field of transport and logistics solutions. Participating in Transport & Logistics was particularly interesting because the Empack packaging fair was also taking place at Flanders Expo at the same time."

Of course, we also visited the Van Damme stand: not only to discover their latest cleaning solutions, but also to maintain our good relations with them.

SDC-Trans from Deinze is a transport company in the waste sector. They transport all types of waste: production waste from companies, contaminated soil, recycled materials, food waste,… They use both their walking floor and tipper trailers for this purpose.

“We have been relying on Van Damme's cleaning machines for years,” says Stijn. "We use a high pressure washer and accompanying reel to clean our tipper trailers. Our walking floor trailers are cleaned with a washing brush. We recently purchased a mobile washing brush with a reservoir and small motor."

“We are very satisfied with our collaboration with Van Damme,” confirms Stijn. "Because their cleaning machines and equipment are of excellent quality, we have relatively little contact with each other. But whenever we have the slightest question, their sales representative Carlo is always there for us.“

When it comes to cleaning requirements, they understand our needs very well, and these have been met professionally so far.

Altiro Tents

Altiro Tents from Stabroek – founded in 2014 – specializes in renting tents for small and large events. They provide customized solutions for both weddings and corporate events in Belgium, northern France, and Switzerland. Clean tents are an absolute must. Proper cleaning is therefore very important.

“Van Damme always provides us with high-quality cleaning solutions. For example, we use a high-pressure cleaner to clean our vehicles and the tarpaulins of our tents. We clean the warehouse floor with a sweeping machine. These purchased machines have never let us down. And they can't afford to, because we work in a peak-driven business where it's often all hands on deck!"

“We are very satisfied with Van Damme's machines. After all, they require little maintenance and repair. I have a very good relationship with their employee Jasper, who is our main point of contact. This runs very smoothly, and always in a warm and informal atmosphere."

When it comes to cleaning needs, they know our requirements very well, and these have been expertly met for the time being.
