Van Damme successfully completes project at KDL
We are pleased to announce that Van Damme has successfully completed a new project at KDL (Kris De Leeneer), a leading company in transport and logistics. As experts in truck washing, tank cleaning, and industrial cleaning machines, we at Van Damme have used our years of experience and quality services to build and install a truck wash facility at KDL. This new facility will serve as KDL's calling card and ensure a professional appearance for their fleet.

The Van Damme company was founded in 1983 by Paul and Ignace Van Damme. Pieter Van Damme continues to run the family business today, with an unchanged focus on high-quality products and services.
Thanks to this emphasis on quality and excellent, fast service, Van Damme has become a household name in the sector of truck washing, tank cleaning and industrial cleaning machines. With projects in Belgium, but also in Germany, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, Van Damme can look back on a wealth of experience. Customers enjoy working with Van Damme because of its excellent service.
Kris De Leeneer from Lokeren is one such company. KDL opened a new branch at the end of last year. The company offers both transport and logistics services, with 45,000 pallet spaces stored in a 28-meter-high building. The limited area of 3.9 hectares, approximately 8 soccer fields, is larger than before, but the building only covers an area of 10,000 square meters.
In terms of transport, Kris De Leeneer specializes in temperature-controlled transport in the Benelux, France, and the German Ruhr area. The trucks are equipped with the necessary technical capabilities: temperature control, track & trace, and digital document flow are just a few of the applications. The 85 drivers transport food, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and general cargo.
Business card
Kris De Leeneer sees his trucks as his company's business card. And that's where Van Damme comes in. KDL's new facility has a truck wash, a conscious choice by the transporter/distributor/logistics service provider.
There are numerous reasons for this investment. A truck that looks neat and tidy indicates that it is part of a professional company. According to Kris De Leeneer, it was therefore an obvious choice to provide a truck wash at the new location. It was also important that the loading area could be cleaned and disinfected.
In the past, KDL depended on third parties to clean its vehicles. With its own facility, that problem has been solved, much to the satisfaction of the drivers. The vehicles are cleaned weekly. This includes everything from tractors with trailers to delivery vans. The waste water from the facility is recycled, resulting in enormous savings in water consumption. This means that the facility is also ready for the future, as the reuse of wash water will become mandatory.
KDL was able to call on Van Damme's experience and knowledge for the construction and installation. The two companies have been working together for 20 years, during which time a good customer-supplier relationship has developed.
