Van Damme NV raises €10,000 for Heart for Brain
On Saturday, October 19, the parking lot of Van Damme NV in Waregem was filled with cars and enthusiastic visitors for a special car wash event. This event was organized in memory of the late Paul Van Damme, founder of the company, who recently passed away from a brain tumor. With this car wash, the team not only wanted to honor his memory, but also to make a difference for others by raising money for Heart for Brain, a foundation dedicated to research into brain tumors.
A day full of support and solidarity
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., cars came and went, carefully washed by our team (volunteers from our staff). All proceeds went to Heart for Brain, and as promised, we doubled this amount to increase the impact. In addition to having their cars washed, many visitors also made a donation, allowing them to contribute to this important cause. Many participants had registered in advance to secure their time slot, which helped to keep the day organized and efficient.
The result: €10,000 for Heart for Brain
Thanks to the overwhelming support of customers, family, friends, the community, and the efforts of all the volunteers, the car wash event raised an impressive €4,993.25. With Van Damme NV doubling the amount, the total came to no less than € 10,000. This amount will go entirely to Heart for Brain to contribute to life-changing research into brain tumors.
